Golden Knights defeat Whitewater to get their fourth straight win

Ottawa, Ontario – The Ottawa West Golden Knights defeat and sweep the season series against the Whitewater Kings with a 5-2 win inside the Barbara Ann Scott Arena and pick up their fourth straight win. They outscore the Kings 10-to-4 this year.

The Golden Knights were trailing 2-1 against Whitewater but were able to score four unanswered goals between the 15:03 mark of the second until the end of the game. Jared Brush picked up his first CCHL2 goal in the third for more insurance. Jack Haymes (1 G / 1 A), Michael Gallivan (1 G / 1 A) and Ric Shin (2 A) each tallied two points on the night.

Sean Kearns also extended his point streak to five games by collecting an assist. Morgan Wark also got the tying goal from behind the net where his pass went off a Kings defender and in. Patrick Holmes and Sean Tallon each had one goal in the Whitewater loss. Joseph Weise was tremendous in the goal crease by making 51 saves. Ottawa West outshot Whitewater 56-to-27.
