Ottawa, Ontario – The Ottawa West Golden Knights were able to win their third straight game with a 5-3 victory over the Westport Rideaus to finish the season series at one win a piece.

Leading the way was Jack Haymes offensively by scoring twice in a three-point night. Jack and Noah Haymes (2 A) were able to extend their point streaks to four games. Justin Graham and Ric Shin also netted one goal in the win. With Graham’s fourth goal in the second period, it would turn out to be the game winner because Westport would score two straight goals after Ottawa West was leading 5-1.

Also in the game, Jalen Poole Fournier tallied his first career CCHL2 goal and AP Patrick Wood got his first CCHL2 point by recording an assist. Wood plays for the Ottawa Sting Midget AA team and was called up to his third straight game. Brent Pledge-Dickson also made 42 saves for the win. Anthony Ieradi scores twice in the Westport loss.

The Golden Knights also were 2-for-3 on the power play. In their last 4 games, the power play for Ottawa West is 9-for-18. Westport outshot Ottawa West 45-38.
