Ottawa West loses game one 5-1

Casselman, Ontario – The Ottawa West Golden Knights drop game one, 5-1, against the Casselman Vikings on Sunday night at the Jr. Brisson Sports Complex.

The Vikings extend their winning-streak to nine games (9-0) against the Golden Knights in the playoffs since the 2015-16 season.

Gabriel Rousselle opened the scoring midway through the first period on a very odd three-on-none. Cassselman went onto score four more unanswered goals before Justin Jamer tipped in a shot from the point on the power-play late in the third. Miguel Daoust was replaced in net by Mitchell Bown after the second period, and he allowed one goal one 11-shots.

The Golden Knights were outshot 41-27, and allowed four power-play goals against, as the Vikings went 4-for-5 on the man-advantage.
