Golden Knights takes down Embrun 2-1 last friday night

Ottawa, ON – The Ottawa West Golden Knights defeated the Embrun Panthers 2-1 last Friday night inside the Embrun Arena. They improve their record to 6-1-1 and sit second in the Martin Division with 13 points.

The scoring would start from Geronimo Whiteduck in the second period where he shot the puck from the left point while Jalen Poole Fournier made a screen in front of goaltender William Nguyen to make it 1-0.

The Panthers would turned the tables late in the third after Oscar Mollot tried to fire the puck around the glass but it went off the right stanchion of the glass and into the empty net where Pledge-Dickson tried to play the puck behind the net. That would tie the game up at one.

A minute and 27 seconds after the panthers tied it, the Golden Knights would take the lead once again from Michael Gallivan off of Whiteduck’s shot from the point. That proved to be the game winner and would take two wins this week.

The Golden Knights outscored their opponent 6-to-1 this week. Gallivan would pick up his first GWG of the season and the seventh GWG of his career. Whiteduck collected two assists and Brent Pledge-Dickson made 33 saves for his third win of the year.
