Ottawa, Ontario – The Ottawa West Golden Knights made a few moves during last Friday’s Trade Deadline.

The Golden Knights acquired the rights to ’00 Defenseman Danny Griffith from the Carleton Place Jr Canadians in exchange for PDF.

The second traded witnessed ’02 Forward Morgan Wark going to the Winchester Hawks in exchange for PDF.

Wark, 17, is in his first season of junior hockey after playing with the U18 Ottawa Jr. Senators for two seasons. During his time in Midget AAA, he totaled 23 goals and 17 assists in 83 games played. The Ottawa, Ontario native has three goals and one assist during his stint with the Golden Knights in 28 games. He recently picked up his first goal as a Hawk last week.

The Golden Knights would like to welcome ’01 Defenseman Antonio Silenu onto the team. Silenu was traded from the Ottawa Jr. Canadians to the Perth Blue Wings, but then Perth flipped him to the Ottawa West Golden Knights in exchange for PDF.

Silenu, 18, is in his second full season in CCHL2. Last season, he played with Richmond for 17 games until being dealt to Casselman. It will be Silenu’s fourth team of his CCHL2 career. The Ottawa, Ontario native has appeared in 25 games and is tied for first in the league among Defenseman’s in goals (10), tied for fourth in assists (16) and second among Defenseman’s in points (26).
