Ottawa, Ontario – The Ottawa West Golden Knights announced Friday morning that they have acquired ’01 F Sam Edwards from the Ottawa Jr. Canadians in exchange for a PDF.
Edwards, 17, totaled 24 points (11G/13A) in 30 games with the Canadians. He initially attended the Golden Knights training camp in September but choose to join Ottawa’s roster prior to opening day.
The Ottawa, Ontario native played the last two seasons with the Nepean Raiders Midget AAA team – scoring 47 points (25G/22A) in 85 career games. He will make the Ottawa West debut tonight (Friday) against the Winchester Hawks.
