Noah Jones, right-handed defenseman for the Ottawa West Golden Knights, has been playing hockey since he was eight.
Now, Jones is 20, and he plays with skill, positive energy, and a high hockey IQ.
Jones was born in Orleans, Ontario, and that is where he fell in love with the game of hockey.
Jones is #28. He’s always wanted to be somewhere in the 20s when it comes to his number, so when 28 came up as an option, Jones went with that.
The Ottawa Senators are Jones’ favourite NHL team, and is inspired by former Ottawa Senators legend, Erik Karlsson. Jones matches Karlsson’s positivity, hockey IQ, and skill.
Jones played for the Ottawa Junior Canadians, before landing with the Ottawa West Golden Knights.
The Golden Knights are a strong, hardworking team, and Jones brings his own strengths to the Knights.
“I think I bring positivity in the dressing room,” Jones said. “Just get the guys up and going before every game.”
When Jones isn’t on the ice, he studies cyber security at La Cité Collège, plays video games, and stays strong by going to the gym.
Before game time, aside from coming in and getting ready, Jones likes to eat pasta with alfredo sauce, and get hyped up by listening to Lil Tjay’s song Oh Well.
Jones’ favourite thing about playing for the Golden Knights is meeting new friends on the team.
“Everybody is really nice,” Jones said. “There’s a lot of love.”
Jones is an important player for the Ottawa West Golden Knights because of the positivity, skill, and hockey knowledge that he brings to every game.
